Establishment of Manas Rural Development Institute (MARDI) at Satara.
Awareness programs on organic composting and soil health for local farmers began.
Launch of Women Self-Help Group (SHG) movement — capacity building, micro-finance and entrepreneurship for rural women.
Conducted district-level organic farming exhibitions and demonstrations; started school-level eco-awareness drives.
